The LIoyd family – who run independent garage Abbey Motor Services – won one million points when they entered a free draw through NGK’s BoxClever garage loyalty scheme, enough to exchange for prizes such as a holiday or a new car or van.
The 34-year-old family firm comprising of Rick LIoyd, wife Kath, son Tim and grandson Olly, are long-standing BoxClever members and loyal NGK customers.
Rick (75 years old) said: “We just don’t use other plugs; it is simply not worth it.
“If we ask for plugs, they have to be NGK; you can just fit and forget them as they are so reliable.”
The family-run garage carries out service and repair work and MoTs on all-makes of vehicles at its Polesworth premises located near Tamworth.
Mark Hallam, marketing manager for NGK Spark Plugs, said: “The promotion has proven to be incredibly popular with our BoxClever members and we are delighted that Abbey Motor Services have won the million points which they can now use to get their dream prize.”
The concept of BoxClever is simple: following the purchase of NGK spark plugs, glow plugs, NTK sensors and ignition coils, BoxClever scheme members are encouraged to collect the single boxes that the products come supplied in and these are then returned in exchange for prize points.
