Prince Edward’s 10 year-old son, James, Viscount Severn, was spotted driving his family’s Land Rover around the gardens of Windsor Castle at the end of Easter Weekend.

James’ older sister, Lady Louise Windsor, joined her mother as she drove a carriage after the family attended an Easter service at which James appeared to be upset, reports the Telegraph.

His mood brightened considerably, according to onlookers, when he drove the four-by-four “reasonably fast” while sitting on an adult’s lap on Monday.

Under UK Law, motorists do not require a provisional licence or insurance when driving a car on private land – although this means insurance companies would not pay out in the event of an accident.
