Organised by ADS and supported by the Original Equipment Suppliers Aftermarket Association (OESAA), Autoinform Live will be held at the GTG Edinburgh on March 18 and 19.
One of the suppliers attending the event is OESAA member Schaeffler (UK) Ltd.
Malcolm Short, technical services manager for Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket in the UK, said: “We appear to have found the magic formula to maximise the benefits to the delegates.
“Everybody gets 12-hours of training on eight different subjects that they can select in advance.
“Everybody that attends says that it is brilliant value for money and our core group of Wolverhampton regulars are amazed at how we keep on improving the format.
“We have carefully selected a new venue in Scotland because it has great transport links, is very close to the airport and is simply a fantastic training facility.”
This time round visitors can expect to gain an insight into Schaeffler’s thermal management products, the E-ARC stabiliser, E-mobility and much more.
The Schaeffler REPXPERT team will be on hand to deal with any queries and to give garage owners a chance to sign up to the online garage portal, REPXPERT, which offers members free access to vehicle manufacturer (VM) fitting information and everything they need to know about LuK clutches, INA tensioners and FAG wheel bearings.
Visitors will be split into three groups to provide the highest quality training to an optimum number of people.
Group one will benefit from INA/FAG training courtesy of Tim Adams, a veteran belt drive and wheel bearing system specialist with an in-depth knowledge and practical experience of the common problems in process and understanding, who will explain how to avoid expensive failures and maximise customer satisfaction.
While groups two and three will benefit from a course about future mobility, including thermal management and the E-ARC stabiliser, and delegates will take a detailed look at vehicles that will be driving into workshops in the future.
This includes the latest advances in water pump technology – the thermal management module, as well as details of the electromechanical active roll control system being increasingly fitted to modern cars.
Throughout the weekend visitors will have access to an open workshop focusing around the award-winning INA Gearbox, as well as three live REPXPERT pods.
