Showcase your star qualities with a Motor Ombudsman Award

Now in their fifth year, The Motor Ombudsman’s Star Awards see customers nominate accredited garages and individual staff members that have gone the extra mile, and there are a number of reasons to get involved in these prestigious accolades

Motor industry awards are an effective channel for businesses to be publicly recognised for the delivery of high standards of work and service, and to demonstrate how they go above and beyond to help vehicle owners when it matters most.

The Motor Ombudsman’s Star Awards are unique, in that, nominations, which are powerful endorsements of quality and trust, are driven by customers writing short accounts about their positive experiences when having an ad hoc repair or routine maintenance carried out on their vehicle.

From these submissions, an independent judging panel will determine the eight regional trophy winners, and the highly commended entries in each of these categories, as well as the recipient of the coveted National Garage Star Award, to be presented in the prestigious surroundings of the Houses of Parliament in London.

Participation in The Motor Ombudsman’s free-to-enter Star Awards provides a number of benefits for your business:

  • Stand out from the crowd

As well as having the competitive advantage of being a Motor Ombudsman-accredited business, making the shortlist or winning a sought-after Star Award trophy can serve as an important differentiator in the minds of consumers when choosing a garage.

  • New business generation

It offers a valuable platform for customers to champion and cast your great service and work into the spotlight, thereby helping to drive footfall and new leads.

  • Enhanced visibility and exposure

Winning or even being shortlisted can generate valuable media coverage and press interview opportunities, building your profile and brand visibility in your local area and beyond.

  • A valuable marketing tool

The Motor Ombudsman offers a suite of eye-catching digital assets to promote the competition and drive engagement with customers on your premises, via direct communications, and on your social media channels and website.

  • A driver of employee motivation

With individual staff members eligible for nomination in the Star Awards, being put forward, or being named as the recipient of an award, can provide a physical acknowledgement of their hard work and achievements, whilst also giving their professional career a positive boost.

  • It demonstrates a customer-centric philosophy

Actively participating in the Star Awards highlights the importance that your business places on striving to be the best that it can be, as well as your commitment to continued improvement and innovation to be at the very forefront of customer service satisfaction and excellence.

The nomination period for this year’s awards will close on 18 October 2024.
