‘Simply Bosch’ show takes place later this week
The latest in vehicle diagnostics to be revealed this Friday and Saturday at the Bosch Service and Training Centre.

A new ‘Simply Bosch’ trade event, looking at the future of diagnostics, is scheduled for this Friday and Saturday at the Bosch Service and Training Centre, Riverside Way in Uxbridge.

The show which is organised by Hickleys, is set to reveal the latest in automotive diagnostics and what the latest industry developments could mean for the UK market.

The event will include demonstrations of the most up-to-date products available from key names such as Bosch, as well as ‘info bite’ presentations and special offers.

Robin Huish, managing director for Hickeys, told GW: “This is a great opportunity to see the very latest diagnostic and garage equipment from Bosch and the only opportunity to see all the items being demonstrated at the same time.

“We hold our own diagnostic and garage equipment show every year having previously had ‘Simply Diagnostics’ and ‘Simply GE’ but this is the first time we have combined the shows and majored on our close links with Bosch.”

Presentations

Some of the topics included during the presentations will be the benefits of adding key programming as an extra service to your business, testing and diagnosing lane assistance and departure systems, as well as understanding the benefits of wheel alignment.

Mark Banks of Bosch who will be presenting a seminar on diagnostics over internet protocol (DOIP) told GW: “A lot of the manufacturers are rumoured to be going down this route with diagnostics and there’s a lot of concern in the aftermarket about whether we’ll still be able to work on these cars.

“It’s a very new subject and the only thing that we can guarantee is that nothing will stay the same.

“The message is to wait until you know the facts before believing all of the scare stories.

“It’s a touchy, feely event where technicians can come along and have a go for themselves.”
