A man has suffered serious injuries at a Volkswagen dealership in Aberdeen in an accident involving a roller door.
The incident occurred at Specialist Cars Volkswagen in Aberdeen on Saturday morning.
He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 9.02am about an accident at work.
“The man sustained serious injuries and is in hospital.
“Inquiries are ongoing into this incident.”
A spokeswoman for the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) said: “HSE is aware of the incident and is making initial enquiries.”
Industrial, commercial and roller shutter doors have been known to cause a number of serious and fatal accidents, according to the HSE.
Just last year the owner of Fearnley Motors in Colchester approached GW to urge workshops across the country to check the condition of their shutter doors after one of his employees narrowly escaped injury.
