Among the aftermarket products distributed through the expanded facility are Monroe shock absorbers and suspension parts and Walker and Fonos emission control components.
Located in Birmingham’s Tyseley district, the facility will gain 75,000 square feet of warehouse space as well as new offices and conference space.
Approximately 50,000 square feet of warehouse space will accommodate aftermarket product operations.
Employment has increased to meet growing production and distribution requirements.
Tenneco also handles just in time (JIT) production of OE emission control and ride performance products for delivery to UK-based vehicle manufacturers from the Birmingham site.

“Our aftermarket business in the UK and across Europe has experienced significant growth over the past year and we are confident we can continue to build on this momentum through our expanded footprint in Birmingham,” said Bruce Ronning, vice president and general manager at Tenneco Europe Aftermarket.
“The close alignment of our OE and aftermarket businesses enables us to introduce world-class replacement products that help restore the vehicle’s original ride and handling performance.”
