A man and a woman were taken to hospital last week after a double stabbing at a garage in Bolton.
Witnesses described how seven men wearing balaclavas burst into Tyre Bay with bats and knives. One man told the Manchester Evening News that he saw a car’s gearbox “covered in blood”, while Greater Manchester Police confirmed that the incident involved a “fight involving weapons”.
The area around the garage in Great Lever was cordoned off for much of Thursday 28 September, while a local primary school went into a state of lockdown, with children kept inside during break times.
A 28-year-old man and two women were arrested on suspicion of an assault.
Superintendent Danny O’Neil said: “We have stepped up our high-visibility response to this incident, with a section 60 in place and our colleagues from North West Ambulance Service helping our teams.
“We are pursuing active lines of enquiry and have made good progress in identifying those we believe are involved, having already arrested three people.”
