VDO UK, part of the Continental group, is now using MAM’s Autocat v8 parts catalogue to provide product data to distributors on its engine management programme.
In a first for VDO UK, the company is using the catalogue to provide information and regular product additions to its complete range of engine management products, from air mass meters to wheel speed sensors.
The company’s product data has been mapped to Autocat v8’s new make model index (MMI) to help provide its distributors with detailed and accurate information on which of its products to supply for particular vehicles.
“Autocat v8 is widely recognised as the leading aftermarket parts catalogue and is therefore the ideal platform for keeping our distributors informed and growing our business,” as Paul Jennings, managing director at Continental UK explains.
“Regular updates will ensure our data includes the latest references so that distributors can easily find which replacement parts are required for every VDO equipped vehicle.”
Tony Mason, sales manager for data and e-commerce at MAM Software, said: “We’re delighted that VDO UK has joined the growing number of brands who supply data to Autocat v8.
“VDO’s inclusion further illustrates that popular brands value the benefits of having data mapped to the Autocat Make Model Index.”
