A motorist has been banned from driving after being caught driving at 62mph with both hands behind his head. The driver can be seen clearly on police camera footage below relaxing, with both hands behind his head, for around 30 seconds.
After arguing, without success, he was in control of the car, the driver was found guilty of dangerous driving leading to a 12-month ban, an order for 100 hours community service and fines totaling £675.
Dave Brown, from North Yorkshire Police said: “This case demonstrates two things. One is the sheer stupidity of some people who put others in danger and the other is the ability of our safety camera to capture a range of offences.”
