The presenters of the Wheeler Dealers TV show have appealed for helping in tracking down a Ford Fiesta that was set to appear on the show.
Mike Brewer and co-star Marc Priestley (known as Elvis) were staying overnight at the Premier Inn in Pontefract, ahead of the Wheeler Dealers ‘Fiestaval’ at The Motorist in Leeds. The Fiesta 1300S was stolen from the hotel car park following a complete restoration to mark the end of production of one of Britain’s most popular small cars.
The pair have taken to social media for help in finding the stolen Fiesta, which has yet to be found, although Ford has lent them a Mk1 Fiesta from its heritage fleet to ensure the Fiesta episode can be completed.
In a video posted on Twitter, Mike Brewer said the Fiesta was stolen along with the covered trailer it was parked in. He said urged people to share photos of the Fiesta and trailer, “in the hope that somehow the classic car community can come together” to find the missing car.
In a second video posted on Wednesday, Marc Priestley urged people to send information, including news of any sightings, to West Yorkshire Police.
He also described the Midnight Blue Fiesta as a “wonderful example” of the Mk1 Fiesta.

Speaking to Car Dealer, Mike Brewer said that CCTV had identified a white Mercedes-Benz Sprinter at the scene, with its occupants seen “fiddling with torches around the car”.
He continued: “We’re hoping there’s somebody out there who may see a white Sprinter van with a white covered trailer behind it.
“We wanted to celebrate 20 years of Wheeler Dealers and that coincided with the end of the Ford Fiesta. So, on the series, what we’ve done was one special episode with a 1979 1300S Ford Fiesta Mk1; a beautiful car.

“It was a bucket of bolts when I found it – but we put our heart and soul into a full nut and bolt restoration. And we arranged the Fiestaval.
“But unfortunately we woke up this morning, left the hotel to find that the car and the trailer – a covered trailer – had been bolt-cropped. The trailer was missing.
”You know, me and my heart is absolutely broken. Elvis and I put blood, sweat and tears into the car. We burned the midnight oil to make this car the best we possibly could.”
The Fiestaval went ahead as planned, albeit without the TV car, with 500 Fiestas converging on The Motorist to finish the special episode.
If you’ve seen the stolen Fiesta, get in touch with West Yorkshire Police or send a tweet to Mike Brewer or Marc Priestley.
