Launched in 2013 by ZF Services UK, ‘ProTech‘ provides garages with all the information they need from a single source.
Participants benefit from the direct support of specialist and manufacturer’s know-how and expertise.
Matt Shakespeare, technical sales manager, said: “Obtaining required levels of detail has not been straightforward and independent garages still regularly turn away business that is effectively dealer-only.
“This is where garages joining the ZF Services ‘ProTech’ network can gain access to an exclusive information portal with application details, technical specifications and fitting instructions for the complete parts ranges from Sachs, Lemförder and ZF Parts brands.”
Training
Technicians also receive hands-on training at ZF Services UK, covering vehicle systems theory, hands on fault diagnosis procedures and fitting operations.
Refresher courses are available to keep members up-to-date with the latest evolutions in vehicle technology.
The partnership also includes personal on site support, transmission services, installation instructions and manufacturer service campaigns, as well as a technical hotline and e-mail assistance.
Aftermarket knowledge
ZF Services UK is responsible for OEM and aftermarket technical and marketing support and applications advice for all ZF products in the UK and Ireland.
It also supplies the independent aftermarket with the same driveline and chassis components fitted by many of the world’s major VMs.
Among the aftermarket products marketed are Sachs clutches and shock absorbers, Lemförder steering, suspension and rubber-to-metal parts, and ZF Parts oil and sump kits.
