The speaker agenda for Automechanika Birmingham 2025 has been announced, with discussions focusing on the major issues impacting the automotive industry. The event, taking place from 3rd to 5th June 2025 at the NEC Birmingham, will feature over 150 hours of free training, live demonstrations, and thought-leadership sessions across six stages and multiple live demo areas.
The programme is designed to support garages, technicians, workshops, and aftermarket businesses, addressing the rapidly evolving sector’s challenges in digitalisation, electrification, skills shortages, and sustainability.
Day one will see the Workshop Hub, in association with Autotechnician and sponsored by Delphi, host sessions led by companies such as AcTronics, Bosch, and Castrol. Discussions will cover workshop diagnostics, remanufacturing, technology upgrades, and strategies for boosting profitability amid rising costs. The Aftermarket Hub, sponsored by eBay, will explore the impact of AI, e-commerce automation, and Right to Repair legislation on independent garages, motor factors, and suppliers, with presentations and panel discussions from industry experts and associations including the IAAF, IGA, and SMMT.
Day two will delve deeper into digital integration and workforce development at the Workshop Hub, with experts from ALLDATA, Brembo, Hella, and ZF Aftermarket discussing real-time workshop management, the role of customer service advisors, and OEM data access. The Aftermarket Hub will focus on EV training and repairs, tyre safety, the recovery industry, and training qualifications.
Day three will conclude the show with a focus on technical standards and long-term industry sustainability. The Workshop Hub will feature sessions on topics ranging from wet cambelt maintenance and fleet servicing to EV charging and additives, with speakers from companies such as Ferdotti Motor Services, HEVRA, and LIQUI MOLY. The Aftermarket Hub will again look to the future, with sessions on investing in talent, aftermarket opportunities, and sustainability in automotive, hosted by organisations including AutoGem, eBay, IMI, and LKQ Europe.
