The Schaeffler team filmed at Tyneside Autohaus on the latest stop of its Wrenches & Wisdom campaign roadshow
Schaeffler’s Wrenches & Wisdom campaign, which puts the spotlight on apprenticeships, career possibilities and training opportunities in the aftermarket, has recently completed filming a brand new episode at Tyneside Autohaus in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Fergus Carnegie, Service Manager at Tyneside Autohaus, has been a Schaeffler customer and REPXPERT member for many years, with the original equipment manufacturer frequently travelling up to the garage to support.
The most recent visit was to film a new Wrenches & Wisdom campaign video, as Fergus had an apprentice who has now become a full time technician at Tyneside Autohaus, a perfect addition to the Wrenches & Wisdom story.
In the video, Schaeffler follows the Autohaus apprentices as they learn the ropes and discuss why they wanted to get into the automotive aftermarket. Fergus also appears in the video to stress the importance to the aftermarket of hiring apprentices in order to future proof workshops against a skills shortage.
The new episode will go live in July 2025 and can be viewed on Schaeffler’s REPXPERT UK social media channels.
The campaign will continue to visit workshops around the country throughout 2025, speaking to garage owners, apprentices and professional technicians to promote the need for ongoing workshop training programmes, and also to discuss the currently underused resource of employing apprentices in the industry. Schaeffler encourages aftermarket professionals to stay updated with its latest news by regularly checking the REPXPERT app, or by visiting the website at: www.repxpert.co.uk.
