NAPA partners with Coleg Menai for motorsport engineering education

Automotive aftermarket brand NAPA has announced an ongoing partnership with Coleg Menai, a further education college based in Anglesey. This collaboration aims to provide Motorsport Engineering students with technical education and skills development for careers in the automotive and motorsport sectors.

In conjunction with the local NAPA Auto Parts store, NAPA has donated a range of high-quality automotive parts to Coleg Menai for the students’ Targa rally project car build. NAPA is also offering best practice technical training and resources through its technical partner, TechMate, to support the next generation of automotive professionals.

NAPA emphasises the importance of practical knowledge and hands-on experience. By working with Coleg Menai, NAPA aims to bridge the gap between education and industry, providing students and educators with access to OE-quality parts and expert technical guidance, ensuring students gain industry-relevant skills.

Adam McNaney, NAPA Marketing Manager, stated: “This partnership aligns with our commitment to excellence and investing in the development of skilled professionals who will drive the automotive sector forward.” Coleg Menai benefits from NAPA’s extensive parts inventory and technical expertise, equipping students for success in the evolving automotive landscape.

NAPA recently visited Coleg Menai to observe the progress on the Targa rally car build. A full video of the visit, titled “College Students Build a Targa Rally Car! | NAPA x Coleg Menai,” is available on YouTube.
