LKQ Euro Car Parts is implementing a new leadership structure to enhance its regional focus across the UK. The company is transitioning from two divisional directors to a system of four dedicated Sales Directors and four dedicated Operations Directors.
Each director will lead their specific discipline within a defined region, focusing on a more specialised approach. This change aims to bring senior leadership closer to the front line to better serve customer needs.
The new Sales Directors will concentrate exclusively on customer growth, account management, and sales. Concurrently, the Operations Directors will focus on operational performance, service delivery, and safety. This marks the first time such a senior, specialist split has been introduced at a regional leadership level within the UK aftermarket industry.
According to Kevan Wooden, CEO of LKQ UK & Ireland, the restructuring will enable the company to respond faster and tailor its approach to local market requirements. The change also creates new area-level roles, which will report directly to the regional directors, strengthening local capabilities and speeding up decision-making.
The new structure builds on an operating model introduced earlier this year and is intended to create clearer career paths for employees in both sales and operations. Wooden stated that the move deepens the company’s commitment to providing customers with the leadership and expertise needed to thrive in the automotive aftermarket.
