Motul has had a successful debut at the Gravity Show at the NEC in Birmingham, as one of the event’s main partners. The show, which attracted over 40,000 visitors over two days, featured six exhibition halls and outdoor areas, including a drift arena.
Motul’s presence was prominent, with branding on the main stage, entry banners, and a large-scale display stand. The stand was one of the biggest the company has ever built for a UK show, featuring five cars, a shop area, a business area, and a relaxation zone. The vehicles on display included an Audi R8, a Nissan Skyline, and an 1100BHP Audi R6 Estate.
Andy Wait, Motul’s Head of UK & Ireland Business, commented on the event: “The first time at a new event is always a learning experience, but we were really impressed, not only by the quality of exhibits but also by the knowledge and interest of visitors to the stand.”
Dominic Day, Head of Business Development for Gravity, praised the collaboration: “We have very quickly formed a great working relationship with the Motul team…What makes it better still is that we seem to have similar mindsets – and that is hopefully going to make working together something special.”
Following the Gravity Show, Motul is preparing for its partnership with the Goodwood Revival. For three days in September, the event will see tens of thousands of visitors watch some of the world’s most valuable race cars. Motul will have several sites at the event, including a display of its history and a mobile laboratory offering oil analysis to competitors. Motul is also the title sponsor of the St Mary’s Trophy race for 1950s and 1960s saloon cars.
