WAECO, a specialist in climate services, has introduced the PolyreactGuard S, a new filter system designed to protect air conditioning service units from contamination. The system is specifically engineered to detect and filter out R1234yf polymerisation, a chemical reaction that can cause damage to equipment.
The PolyreactGuard S works by heating the refrigerant as it passes through the filter. If contamination is present, it triggers a visible polymer reaction within the integrated filter, providing a clear indication of harmful substances. This process allows technicians to identify and address contamination before it can damage the service unit.
Guido Sasse, Managing Director of WAECO Germany WSE GmbH, commented on the innovation, stating: “It’s like giving your AC service unit a sixth sense.”
The system is installed on the high-pressure side between the vehicle and the service unit. It filters out harmful substances, including sealants, to ensure the refrigerant is pure. A hood-mounted bracket is included for safe and easy handling. The PolyreactGuard S is designed to provide 99.99% refrigerant purity through a process of heating and filtering.
The box includes the PolyreactGuard S unit, an HP hose, a service coupling, a fastening strap, and instructions. The new system is designed to provide workshops with a smart and safe way to protect their equipment and comply with regulations.
