With the clocks going back, Ring Automotive is urging technicians and factors to educate customers on essential winter vehicle care. The company highlights the importance of being prepared for colder, darker conditions to avoid being caught in an unfortunate situation.
Ring stresses that batteries can lose up to 35% of their power in freezing temperatures. To help prevent failures, it recommends its ULTRABOOST 1500 (RJS030) jump starter, which can start vehicles with up to 6L petrol and 3L diesel engines. The device has an ULTRABOOST button to start completely flat batteries. Alternatively, the compact lithium jump starter (RPPLTC1000) is a multi-functional tool that also features a tyre inflator, light, 12V DC power supply, and a powerbank.
The company also highlights the importance of correct tyre pressure, especially in winter. It offers a range of tyre inflators, including the rechargeable and cordless RTC4000. This model has a memory function and an auto-stop feature to prevent over-inflation. Ring also offers a budget-friendly range, including the TYREInflate 10 (RAC611) and TYREInflate 20 (RAC612), as well as the compact TYREInflate GO 10 (RTC1600).
To address lighting needs, Ring is running a promotion with up to 33% discounts on its bulbs to ensure customers have access to “quality, road legal bulbs that are intrinsically safe for motorists.” The company’s range covers approximately 99% of the vehicle car parc. Additionally, new accessories such as an ice scraper and a windscreen frost guard have been introduced for the winter period.
