Motul is proud to announce that it has made the short list of nominees for the 2025 International Historic Motoring Awards. This is the fourth year in a row that Motul has made the shortlist in the category for Industry Supporter of the Year.
These annual accolades honour companies, organisations, events, and cars that have been outstanding in the historic motoring sector in the last 12 months.
Motul’s involvement across the classic and historic sector is expansive. In its core business, the company pioneered the design and launch of era-specific motor oils, formulated to account for the changing regulations, fuel evolution, and performance demands of vehicles from specific time periods. Its flagship synthetic oil, Motul 300V, remains the choice for historic motorsport competitors globally.
The Motul brand is prominent with specialist manufacturers, including Ruf, Brabus, and Caterham. The company is also a key partner of leading historic motoring events, such as Le Mans Classic, The Tour Auto, Goodwood Revival, and the Isle of Man Classic TT. It also partners with race teams and preparation businesses, including Jordan Racing, ERA Motorsport, and United Autosports in the UK.
Motul has also pioneered assistance for competitors at partnered events by offering free oil analysis via its Mobile Oil Laboratories. This service has helped prevent numerous machine failures and avoided potentially dangerous on-track situations. Additionally, Motul is a major partner in the upcoming Paddock Speedshop TV series, which “promotes historic racing and restoration to the next generation.”
Motul UK Country Manager, Andy Wait, said: “We are thrilled to have made the shortlist, once again this year, for these prestigious awards. We have come close every year for the last three. Perhaps 2025 will be our year – but regardless, we are honoured to be recognised anew for our contribution to this important – and ever-growing – part of the automotive landscape. Like those who work with, or who enjoy, historic motoring, our passion in being part of it, we hope, shines through.”
