Laser Tools has introduced its new Digital Brake Disc Caliper (part number 9129), designed to simplify brake disc inspections. This digital tool allows for fast, accurate measurements during routine services or safety checks.
It features specially designed caliper jaws that fit over wear lips or corroded edges, enabling measurements to be taken directly from the true braking surface.
The caliper features a clear LCD display offering both metric and imperial readouts, along with a data-hold function for convenience in restricted spaces. It is intended for workshop technicians, MOT testers, and mobile mechanics. The tool is supplied with a calibration certificate.
Key features include:
- A digital caliper specifically for brake disc thickness checks, measuring the actual braking surface.
- A clear LCD screen with metric/imperial display and data hold function.
- A measuring range of 0–60mm (0–2.3622″) with a resolution of 0.01mm.
- Suitable for comparing measurements against manufacturer-specified minimum disc thickness.
- Supplied with 1x LR44 battery. It is CE and RoHS compliant.
This tool aims to provide an effective method for ensuring safe braking performance, whether in a workshop or at the roadside. It is available now from Laser Tools stockists and online retailers.
