NAPA Racing UK is set to race in an iconic Valvoline livery at Donington Park GP on 30th and 31st August, celebrating its partnership with technical partner Valvoline. The livery, which will be featured on both Ash Sutton’s and Dan Cammish’s Ford Focus cars, is a recreation of the famous blue, white, and red design from the mid-1990s.
The original livery was famously worn by the Ford Mondeos in the 1995 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), driven by Paul Radisich and Kelvin Burt. Both NAPA Racing UK drivers will also wear replica 1995 race suits and Valvoline-inspired helmets for the event.
Jarno Middelbosch, Valvoline Global Operations Marketing Director Europe, stated: “The 1990’s was a golden era for Valvoline in many motorsport categories, and especially BTCC. We are pleased to be able to replicate one of the most remembered liveries of that decade. Fans attending the race will also be able to purchase limited edition merchandise, inspired by the teamwear from 1995.”
NAPA Racing UK has used Valvoline VR1 Racing oil in its cars since the partnership began in 2022. The oil is available in all NAPA Auto Parts Stores. Oly Collins, Team Manager of NAPA Racing UK, confirmed the product’s effectiveness, stating: “We’ve used VR1 Racing in our championship-winning cars for the past three years. It’s especially formulated for motorsport so that we can use it in the extreme conditions of our racing.”
