BM Catalysts, a manufacturer of emissions products, has welcomed new research from the University of York regarding the impact of tailpipe placement on roadside air quality. A study, published in ACS ES&T Air, suggests that positioning vehicle exhausts on the right-hand side of cars could reduce nitrogen oxide (NOₓ) exposure for pedestrians and cyclists by around one-third.
The company, which manufactures over 90% of its components in-house, focuses on reducing harmful emissions through product innovation in catalytic converters, DPFs, and SCR systems.
