Garage Hive showcased a range of innovative updates designed to enhance productivity and customer service for independent garages.
The highlight of their announcements at The Blend 2024 was Garage Hive Copilot, an AI tool powered by OpenAI technology. This tool can automatically generate descriptions for vehicle reports and invoices, reducing workload and improving customer communication.
“It can generate suggested text based on vehicle inspection data, explaining the need for specific services or repairs,” said Ray. “It’s integrated directly into the existing workflow, so there’s no additional setup.”
For greater customer convenience, Garage Hive introduced a pre-check-in option. This allows customers to confirm vehicle details before their appointment, streamlining the intake process and saving time for both garages and clients.
Another update is the integration with ServiceSplit, enabling workshops to offer flexible service plans to their clients. This allows customers to spread the cost of maintenance, while garages can manage payments and balances within Garage Hive.
Taking inspiration from delivery services, Garage Hive now offers real-time service updates. This allows customers to track the progress of their vehicle repairs, reducing uncertainty and freeing up staff time from answering routine status inquiries.
Additional updates include automatic staff scheduling based on Timetastic leave planner bookings and a revamped mobile-friendly Castrol oil lookup feature. These features improve resource management and inventory control for garages, boosting operational efficiency.
“We’re excited to introduce these new updates,” said Ray. “We’re continuing to give garages the tools they need to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. By integrating cutting-edge technology and user feedback, we’re ensuring that our community-driven platform continues to evolve and meet the ever-changing needs of the industry.”
