DriveTec has announced a significant expansion to its braking catalogue, introducing new products for electric vehicles (EVs) and light commercial vehicles (LCVs). This launch includes what is stated to be the UK’s first range of brake pads developed specifically for LCVs.
The expanded product lines now feature:
- LCV brake pads: Designed to offer a 30% longer lifespan compared to their original equipment (OE) equivalents.
- EV brake pads: Equipped with anti-corrosion back plates and shims to suit electric vehicle requirements.
- Brake shoes and fitting kits.
- Brake pad wear sensors.
- Caliper slider kits.
These new additions are available exclusively from GSF Car Parts and follow the earlier successful launch of DriveTec brake calipers this year. The company aims to provide technicians with a wider selection of products without compromising on quality or cost.
The new EV and LCV pads are manufactured from specialised compounds, are fully ECE R90 approved, and are stated to exceed OE standards. They are designed for quiet performance, minimal brake dust, and do not require a bedding-in period. DriveTec brake shoes also offer OE-matching quality and cover over 95% of the UK vehicle parc.
Mark Knight, Senior Business Manager at GSF Car Parts, commented, “DriveTec continues to grow at pace, with over five million parts fitted last year. This latest expansion brings high-performance braking solutions to some of the fastest-growing segments in the industry.” He added, “We’re extremely proud of being the first to bring LCV specific brake pads to the UK aftermarket.”
