FORVIA HELLA reports stable sales in first nine months of 2024

FORVIA HELLA has announced its sales figures for the first nine months of 2024. Currency-adjusted sales increased slightly by 0.8 percent to €6.0 billion, while reported sales remained at the previous year’s level of €5.9 billion.

The company’s performance was influenced by the global vehicle production landscape, which declined by 1.6 percent in the same period. The third quarter was particularly challenging due to lower production volumes and factors such as customer mix and postponed series launches.

Despite these challenges, FORVIA HELLA maintained overall sales at the previous year’s level. The Lighting business group contributed positively to sales growth, increasing by 4.1 percent to €3.0 billion. This growth was driven by the full consolidation of the Chinese joint venture Beijing Hella BHAP Automotive Lighting and new series launches.

The Electronics business group experienced a decline in sales, falling by 3.9 percent to €2.4 billion. While the radar business performed well, factors such as customer-related postponements and the slowdown in electrification in Europe negatively impacted sales.

In the Lifecycle Solutions business group, sales fell by 5.7 percent to €0.77 billion. The Independent Aftermarket segment grew positively in key European markets, but weaker economic conditions led to reduced investment in new vehicles by commercial vehicle customers.

FORVIA HELLA will release its full financial results for the first nine months of 2024 on November 6, 2024.
