Laser Tools has launched a new Non-Conductive Insulated Quick Chuck to 3/8″D Adaptor (part number 9126), designed for technicians working on electric and hybrid vehicles. This tool aims to provide safe socket access when operating near live circuits.

The adaptor features zero metal-to-metal contact between the driver and socket, ensuring full electrical isolation between the tool and the fastener. This design is crucial for reducing the risk of accidental shorting when working on live systems.

Manufactured to IEC60900 standards, the adaptor is rated safe for use on systems up to 1000V AC / 1500V DC, making it suitable for auto electricians, mechanics, and EV technicians handling high-voltage components.

Key features include:

  • Compatibility with insulated sockets or bit sockets on cordless drill drivers and screwdrivers.
  • Construction from chrome vanadium steel with a glass-fibre reinforced nylon outer casing.
  • An overall length of 75mm and a maximum torque rating of 40Nm.
  • Full compliance with IEC60900 for live-line working.
