Laser Tools introduces wireless 12V towing circuit tester

Laser Tools has launched a new Wireless 12V Towing Circuit Tester (part number 9181), a compact kit that enables a single operator to perform tow-socket diagnostics. The wireless design eliminates the need for an assistant, which the company says will speed up checks and simplify fault-finding for workshops, recovery crews, and vehicle owners.

Faulty tow sockets are a common cause of breakdowns. The 9181 is designed to streamline the verification of trailer lights and power circuits. The tester connects to a vehicle’s 7-pin or 13-pin socket, and the user can remain in the driver’s seat to operate the vehicle’s lights and signals while the tester provides feedback on which outputs are live.

Key benefits of the tool include:

  • One-person operation: The wireless functionality allows for solo testing.
  • Compatibility: It works with both conventional and CAN-bus systems and is compatible with 7-pin and 13-pin sockets.
  • Fast fault isolation: The tool helps to quickly identify issues such as missing feeds or wiring faults.

The kit is supplied in a soft-shell case for easy storage and transport. It is suitable for a variety of users, including owner-drivers, fleet operators, and mobile technicians.

The Laser 9181 is available now from Laser Tools distributors and online stockists.
