A recent report by car-recalls.eu has listed the most recalled car brands in Europe.
Mercedes-Benz vehicles were the most recalled in 2023, with 38 recalls covering 20 models. The recalls were for an exit warning function and improper adhesive bonding, with the new EQS EV having four separate recalls alone.
Peugeot was second on the list, with 27 recalls affecting 13 models. This was due to a software error that also impacted the Citroen and Opel brands.
BMW came in third place with 21 recalls covering 20 models. These were mainly due to airbag faults in the majority of their range from 2003 to 2023.
The report highlights the efforts that manufacturers and regulatory bodies make to ensure the safety and reliability of vehicles on our roads.
