Valeo Service UK has launched Valeo Tech Academy, a digital and in-person training platform designed to address growing skills gaps in electric vehicles (EVs) and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS).
“Through Valeo Tech Academy,“ said Andy Swann, Managing Director at Valeo Service UK, “we are offering tailor-made solutions to prepare mechanics to diagnose and repair electric vehicles and those equipped with ADAS.”
The platform offers a comprehensive curriculum, with 50 hours dedicated to EVs and hybrids, 25 hours focused on ADAS, and 45 hours covering general maintenance and repairs.
“Valeo Tech Academy will provide training covering all automotive systems and brands,” said Andy, “not just Valeo products. This will ensure a comprehensive learning experience across the entire automotive landscape”
The platform caters to busy schedules, with learning modules ranging from 5 to 30 minutes. “Mechanics can learn at their own pace, anytime,” said Swann. Interactive gamified elements keep the training engaging.
For those seeking a more immersive experience, Valeo offers advanced in-person sessions using simulators that recreate real-life repair scenarios.
“Unlike traditional training programs that often focus on a limited set of problems tied to a single vehicle type, our simulator-based sessions cover a wide range of repair scenarios. This allows mechanics to gain practical experience across various makes and models, significantly expanding their knowledge and skills, explained Swann.
Valeo recognises the importance of accurate diagnostics in workshops. “Our training helps mechanics identify issues faster, leading to improved efficiency,” said Swann.
Valeo Tech Academy offers competitive pricing with flexible payment options, including individual modules and monthly or yearly subscriptions.
