A fifth podium place in the end of season Sprint Race was one of the highlights of the 2020 F2 Championship motor racing year for DAMS and sponsor Lucas Oil, at the final meeting of the season at Sakhir.
British Driver Dan Ticktum secured a podium place for the team which began the season as reigning champions.
It was a result that confirmed 8th place this time around and continued an upward trend in recent perormances.
DAMS team managing director, Francois Sicard said: “It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, with some great performances and some not as good.
“The challenge has been understanding the new 18-inch wheels, but also having lots of races in a row with very few breaks meant there was little time to analyse what we had done.
“Also we had an entirely new driver pairing, we had to learn about each other.”
Dan Ticktum scored a combined points total of 14 points over both races.
He finished the season with a creditable 11th place in the driver’s championship.
After a season dominated by injury, Dan’s Indonesian team-mate Sean Gelael was unable to add points in either of the two races. His final position was 21st place.
“Five podium finishes showed that the Lucas Oil brand and its products were mixing in good company,” said sales and operations director Dan Morgan.
“Here’s to a more successful season next time around,” he added.
