TPS to launch ‘Brands at TPS’ for expanded parts offering

New initiative partners with leading aftermarket brands, boosting product range and car parc coverage

TPS to launch ‘Brands at TPS’ for expanded parts offering

TPS is set to launch ‘Brands at TPS’ this summer, significantly expanding its parts portfolio. This initiative will see the introduction of industry-leading third-party brands, offering customers the largest range of products ever available through its 83 UK Centres.

Initially, ‘Brands at TPS’ will incorporate six well-known aftermarket brands:

  • Bosch: Supplying engine belts, filtration, and braking products.
  • ZF: Providing braking, shock absorbers, steering, and suspension through its sub-brands Sachs, TRW, and LEMFÖRDER.
  • Mahle: Offering filtration parts.
  • SKF: Supplying wheel bearings, engine belts, and steering/suspension components.
  • Hella: Bringing engine electrics products.
  • Valeo: Expanding its existing range with flywheels, clutch kits, and hydraulics.

The initial launch will feature around 2,000 third-party parts, with plans to increase this to over 10,000 as the range develops. This expansion will enhance TPS’s coverage of the UK car parc, particularly focusing on older vehicles. This is timely, given the average age of a UK car is now 9.5 years, and nearly one in four cars on UK roads are Volkswagen Group vehicles.

Catherine Baker, Head of TPS, stated: “We’ve always been Genuine first and that doesn’t change. We remain dedicated to Genuine as our primary offer, but we can now offer a one-stop-shop for our mechanical customers’ needs, including a wide-ranging selection of third-party branded parts.” She added, “So, whether it’s Genuine Parts for a five-year-old car or reliable, affordable parts for a 10-year-old one, we aim to become the trusted one-stop-shop for keeping vehicles on the road – quickly, efficiently, and with unmatched expertise.”

The new product range will be supported by the technical knowledge of TPS teams, who can offer expert advice on product differences, benefits, and applications. TPS customers will also benefit from up to five deliveries a day, Monday to Saturday.
