An 18-year-old mechanic, Aryaan Khan, has been sentenced to 12 months suspended for dangerous driving after a reckless pursuit through Bradford.
The incident occurred on 22 September when Khan, driving a Seat Leon with a damaged rear window, failed to stop for police.
Ignoring traffic signals and driving recklessly, Khan put himself and others at risk. He eventually abandoned the vehicle and attempted to evade capture on foot.
The court heard that Khan, who had only a provisional driving license, showed no remorse for his actions and refused to answer questions during police interviews.
Judge Rose condemned Khan’s actions, highlighting the potential danger to innocent lives. He emphasised the importance of responsible driving and the consequences of reckless behavior.
The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of reckless driving and the potential consequences for both the driver and others.
