Aftermarket provider of the camera and radar calibration tools that are needed to service today’s advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) equipped vehicles, Hella Gutmann Solutions has assisted Thatcham Research with the launch of an ‘ADAS glazing code of practice’.
Hella Gutmann Solutions is not only committed to providing the tools to the aftermarket, but also educating and assisting businesses with the challenges that ADAS presents.
The company also has a long standing business relationship with independent research centre, Thatcham Research, as it uses the company’s camera and sensor calibration (CSC) tool to carry out specific tests to establish the correct safety procedures when repairing a vehicle after a windscreen replacement or following an accident.
Thatcham has issued the ‘ADAS glazing code of practice’, which gives clear guidance on the recalibration of ADAS systems during the replacement or refit of windscreens.
Head of business development for Hella Gutmann Solutions, Neil Hilton, commented: “Hella Gutmann Solutions is proud to be assisting companies such as Thatcham Research, as well as most of the main UK windscreen replacement companies, to ensure their safety procedures are leading the market in this increasingly important part of the business.”
