The Forum on Automotive Aftermarket Sustainability (FAAS) has been founded to ensure “a more sustainable aftermarket”.

The joint initiative of the automotive aftermarket sector, promoted by the FIGIEFA and CLEPA, held its first meeting on September 12, 2022, in Frankfurt attended by 12 associations, 20 suppliers, 11 wholesalers and 6 international trading groups (ITGs).

The FAAS will start its activities by focusing initially on four work streams and a working group will be created for each issue:

  • Working Group 1: Study on CO2 footprint (analysis of status & solutions for improvements)
  • Working Group 2: Remanufacturing of parts
  • Working Group 3: Standardised calculation method of product carbon footprint
  • Working Group 4: Optimisation of Supply Chain Logistics.

FIGIEFA and CLEPA is now hoping to gather a pool of experts that are willing to be actively involved in the work of the FAAS Working Groups and to offer their knowledge and experience.

Have your say!
