The owner of a BMW 1 Series Coupe with a missing tyre faces a ban after being arrested for drink-driving while over twice the legal limit for alcohol.
Officers spotted the BMW in Crossmaglen, County Armagh.
Posting on Facebook, a spokesperson for the police said: “We’ve seen a few less than roadworthy tyres, but no tyre is a first. A preliminary breath test was conducted at the roadside with the driver, who provided a reading of over twice the legal limit.
“The driver was arrested for multiple offences and the vehicle was seized. They will now face their day in court.
“Drinking before driving is a choice, that choice could have devastating consequences for your family or someone else’s family, it’s not worth the risk. Never ever drink and drive.”
