OESAA Academy Live ignites excitement at Exeter College

There was a vibrant atmosphere at Exeter College last week, as automotive professionals and colleagues descended on the college for the latest instalment of OESAA Academy Live.

Original Equipment Suppliers Aftermarket Association (OESAA) members welcomed technicians to their respective stand, informing them about the latest best practice techniques and product technologies, as well as take questions from delegates.

Throughout the evening, technicians also earned stamps that allowed them to enter a prize draw, with one lucky visitor walking away with one of the latest video consoles.

The successful format will be repeated this Wednesday, with Hugh Baird College in Liverpool next to host OESAA Academy Live. GSF, once again, will headline the event.

OESAA chairman, Nigel Morgan, said: “We were delighted with the enthusiasm of the visitors. It was great to see our members engage with the people fitting their parts, and we anticipate that there will be a similar response from delegates in Liverpool.”

The following morning, OESAA representatives returned to the college to share their unique insights, career paths and expertise with the next batch of automotive talent. Classrooms were full of intrigued students, all with varying levels of qualification, but all united in their desire to embark on a career in the automotive sector.

Nigel added: “We are acutely aware of the need to bring our skillset and experience to the classroom, as we prepare the next pool of automotive superstars. It was a joy to see the students absorbing the information offered to them, and we hope they left their sessions with renewed enthusiasm and having learnt something new, which they can apply in their learning or future career.”

OESAA members, the likes of Schaeffler, MAHLE, VARTA, DENSO and Laser Tools, look forward to receiving visitors at Hugh Baird College on Wednesday 4 October. Doors open at 5pm, with the event due to conclude at 9pm.
