New Banner leisure literature supports Energy Bull ‘Dual Power’ introduction

Following its decision to re-launch its Energy Bull range as a dual-purpose starter and supply (long discharge use) battery, branded Energy Bull Dual Power, Banner has bolstered its library of technical product support literature having published an updated eight-page capabilities brochure dedicated to its leisure starter batteries.

In addition to providing full details of the Energy Bull Dual Power product offering – where six different power outputs ranging from 60Ah (20 h) to 230Ah (20 h) make the range the ideal solution for all leisure and marine applications – the new literature also features Banner’s popular start-stop products: Running Bull AGM and EFB.

With all products verified through the NCC’s Product Approval Scheme, also featured within the pagination is a useful ‘Guidance for battery use’ section, together with several valuable dos and don’ts that fall under the umbrella of battery care and maintenance.

Keen to promote Banner’s outstanding OE pedigree within the leisure sector, the literature highlights the manufacturers it currently enjoys relationships with, including Auto-Trail, Bailey Motorhomes, Chausson, Dethleffs, Hymer, Pilote and Rapido.

Energy Bull Dual Power

Available as both maintenance and maintenance-friendly types, all products feature transparent boxes to ensure electrolyte levels are visible, exhibit low water consumption and low discharge rates. With proven cold-start characteristics and high cycle resistance, Energy Bull ‘Dual Power’ features optimised capacities to also accommodate greater cyclic loads and are vibration resistant.

Proven to last four to five times longer than a standard leisure battery, typically 300-400 cycles against a figure of 80, Energy Bull is today fitted as original equipment by many leading UK and European motorhome builders. All products come with a two-year manufacturing guarantee against defects.

Running Bull AGM

Deployed for Start/Stop systems with braking energy recuperation in mid-range and premium class vehicles, Banner’s Running Bull AGM power pack not only delivers improved cold start characteristics, but a massive increase in vibration resistance and a cyclical life that is three times longer than conventional lead-acid batteries.

Being a closed system, Running Bull AGM requires zero-maintenance and is leak-proof due to its electrolyte bonding into the glass nonwoven (absorbent glass mat). Standing as a valve-regulated nonwoven battery (VRLA), six Running Bull AGM batteries with capacities of 50Ah, 60Ah, 70Ah, 80Ah, 92Ah and 105Ah, provide comprehensive coverage of today’s UK vehicle parc.

Running Bull EFB

Used mainly in today’s mid-range and small cars that operate simple Start/Stop systems, but without any energy recuperation requirement, Banner’s Running Bull EFB batteries – available with 60-80Ah capacities – are proven in terms of their performance characteristics.

In addition to offering high levels of vibration resistance and twice the cycle life of a conventional battery, EFBs feature a double-lid design to safeguard against leaks, while also delivering maximum operational safety. Furthermore, the use of modern mesh calcium technology makes the battery maintenance free.

As Banner’s country manager, Lee Quinney states: “The leisure sector remains a strategically important business area for Banner Batteries, and the new literature serves to reaffirm the increasing relevance of both the Energy Bull and Running Bull batteries that continue to lead the field when it comes to meeting the requirements of today’s motor homes, caravans, yachts and motor boats.”
