Lucas Oil Products (UK) has added two new staff members, both based at the company’s headquarters in Anglesey, North Wales.
Roo Pitt becomes marketing coordinator and will take charge of brand building and social media broadcasting.
Roo will also be involved in the development of a series of outreach programmes that includes expansion of the Lucas Oil Academy (LOA) and the Lucas Oil Racing Drivers Club (LORDC), plus brand ambassador liaison.
A Lucas Oils spokesperson said: “Brand ambassadors are becoming increasingly important to the sales and marketing cause.
“They are industry professionals who promote products via a range of online mediums, at tracksides and at trade shows.
“The LORDC provides racing drivers from many disciplines with access to oils and additives at discount prices.
“LOA is an initiative that extends educational links to local colleges and automotive training organisations/groups.
“It aims to build awareness about oil specifications and the developing roles of additive technology in the garage environment.”
Nathan Owen’s appointment as academy technician takes advantage of his skills as a qualified mechanic.
Nathan will provide the LOA with technical support for its training activities and will be able to provide technical support for direct trade customer enquiries, while assisting with the company’s on-site storage and distribution operations.
