Ackworth Garage celebrate Ring competition win
James Matthews prize winner.

James Matthews of Ackworth Garage in Wakefield is ‘all charged up’ after being named the lucky winner of a Ring battery care pack worth more than £700 after entering a competition hosted by the brand at the Parts Alliance Trade Show at Elland Road.

Providing an opportunity for garage and technicians to meet suppliers, review the latest products on offer, attend seminars on recent developments in the industry and network, James went along as a delegate and met with the team from Ring.

As a lighting and automotive electrical specialist, Ring was an exhibitor at the event and held the competition to encourage those working in the aftermarket to visit the stand and learn more about its extensive product range, while also having the chance to enter the competition.

James said: “I couldn’t quite believe it when I took the call to say that I had won.

“I never win anything.

“The battery care pack will certainly come in handy as this is one of the common faults that our customers have.

“Ring is a great brand and we rely on a lot of their kit, so this will add to our growing collection.”

Jason Smith, national accounts manager at Ring, said: “We attend The Parts Alliance Trade Show every year as it gives us the chance to meet with garage technicians to talk about their thoughts on changes to the industry and the products that they rely on.

“Hosting the competition is a bit of fun but knowing the prize went to a business that can get best use out of it is good to hear.”

The Parts Alliance spring trade show provided a showcase of the range of products that is available from the organisation with everything from quality parts and tools to equipment.
