Warrington-based mechanic Jade Price is set to join a panel of experts at The British Motor Show in August.
Price, who works at Warrington Audi, has overcome challenges to achieve success in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Despite facing discouragement early in her career, she persevered and has since won multiple awards recognising her achievements.
Price will be on the panel for all four days of the show, sharing her experiences and inspiring others to consider a career in the automotive sector.
“17,000 people attend the show each year, and they want me to do a talk at the event and help inspire more people to join the industry” said Jade.
Price has been open about her experiences with endometriosis, a long-term health condition, emphasising that it hasn’t prevented her from achieving her goals.
Her determination and success have earned her recognition, including nominations for Inspiring Woman of the Year and Automotive Trailblazer.
Price encourages anyone interested in a career in the automotive industry to attend the show and learn more about the opportunities available.
The British Motor Show takes place from 15 – 18 August at Farnborough.

This is such a positive step, at our garage we have always wanted to have a female technician. In schools it is not encouraged to enter into this industry, which is where the change needs to start. Only those who are not academically minded are encouraged into being a ‘Mechanic’! as such. The industry is changing, which includes complicated diagnostic work using using computers and specialist industry software. Good luck to Jade, I wish her every success, she sounds like she is breaking down barriers.
