Overlapping friction material is not a defect, says Apec

Apec has released a new technical bulletin advising technicians that the friction material on PAD1198, PAD1259 and PAD1269 is overlapping the backing plate as per the OE design and is not a manufacturing defect.

Apec said: “At Apec we pride ourselves in following the OE design and specification for the products that we supply.

“This is why the friction material on PAD1198, PAD1259 and PAD1269 is overlapping the backing plate as per the OE design and is not a manufacturing defect.”
