European Exhaust and Catalyst (EEC) have announced the latest update to the industry-unique EEC DPF diagnostic tool.
Its latest update includes the Toyota Hilux 2015 – 2017, Ford DPF-FAP Fiesta 2012-2017 and the Ford DPF-FAP Kuga 2013-2017.
Through the updated application, technicians can perform a filter replacement function, run a static regeneration and identify DPF fault codes.
EEC’s industry-unique tool allows technicians to service and maintain diesel particulate filters (DPFs), reset the EOLYS additive light, identify DPF fault codes, perform a static forced regeneration, dynamic regeneration and a filter replacement function, without needing to visit a main dealer.
The tool also covers a wide range of vehicles from manufacturers such as Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Citroen, Fiat, Ford, GM-Opel, Mazda, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, Peugeot, Saab, Seat, Skoda, Suzuki, Volvo and Volkswagen.
Garages that already use the tool and have a valid licence for updates can download the latest application release for their tool from the EEC DPF Diagnostic Tool Update Suite on their computers.
Duncan Richards, director of sales, European Exhaust and Catalyst, comments: “Our unique DPF Diagnostic Tool has proved immensely popular for garages who now have the ability to generate reoccurring extra revenue from their customers.
“This allows technicians to increase the number of services they are offering and gain a better understanding of the DPF functionality and maintenance required.”
