Free advanced training academy launched during the exhibition

HELLA reports on Automechanika Birmingham

With an impressive 135sqm island layout, HELLA was difficult to miss, and with all five brands represented, visitors were sure to find a high quality solution to their workshop needs.

Coinciding with the exhibition, HELLA launched Behr Hella Service’s free advanced training academy (ATA), which is designed to build on the technicians existing skills and keep them at the leading edge of thermal management.

Regional training centres will be introduced and workshops are encouraged to sign up for the academy at www.strengthenyourpotential.com, where workshops can promote their region as a training hotspot and potentially secure themselves a convenient location for training.

Advanced driver assist systems

In addition, Hella Gutmann Solutions enjoyed an active role in various sections of the event, including presenting two seminars on ‘advanced driver assist systems (ADAS) awareness’.

The diagnostic experts also took part in the ‘interactive workshop’, showcasing live demonstrations on the simple procedure of setting up the camera and sensor calibration (CSC) tool.

HELLA’s lighting and electronics range occupied a significant portion of the stand and was popular with visitors, who were interested in their aftermarket solution.

Additionally the stand featured HELLA Hengst, the recent filter alliance and paint brand, Sonne.

Senior head of marketing and communications at HELLA, Helen Goldingay said: “We had a lot of interest in our thermal management training academy, ATA, which shows us that garages want more advanced training on technical systems, proving the importance of the programme.

“Overall, it’s been a useful three days for HELLA, as it’s allowed us to communicate directly with technicians and workshops, as well as showing them all our fantastic products, proving that we really are the workshop’s friend.”
