David's A4 was damaged by a fast fit and attempts to fix it left him frustrated.

David Davis of Worcester booked his Audi A4 Allroad into his local Kwik Fit branch for a new tyre but technicians caused damage to the vehicle’s nearside wheelarch.

Speaking to Carbuyer, David said: “I was called and told the car had been damaged, but Kwik Fit was going to have it repaired.

“And, as a gesture of goodwill, they would also clear up some of the scratches on the rear offside wheelarch.

A few days later, David went to collect his car but wasn’t happy with the standard of work.

He added: “The finish wasn’t good – the colour didn’t even match the rest of the car.”

Kwik Fit agreed to send the car to a local bodyshop to have the car fixed, leaving David without a car again.

However, the second repair was also found to be unsatisfactory.

David said: “Upon examination, I pointed out to Kwik Fit’s staff that the poor finish was still evident on the repair.

“My [Audi main] dealer told me the standard of work would be most unacceptable as an output from its shop.”

Initially, Kwik Fit said it had done more than was required and wouldn’t pay for an Audi respray but it has now agreed to undertake a final inspection.
