Brent Miller, owner of a Bentley Continental GT V8, says that his car had to be brought back to the garage 14 times over 12 months of ownership.

Issues included the convertible roof, windows and doors opening on their own.

Mould in the vehicle’s boot leaked into its electrics after the wipers failed, causing damage.

“When they brought it back the last time, it came off the back of the truck, I got in and the warning lights came saying the brakes were faulty,” Brent told the Sun.

“I was fuming.

“I considered taking the roof down and making it into one of the world’s most expensive plant pots because that’s all it was fit for.

“By the time I stopped driving it the car had done just 6,000 miles.

“I worked out it had done 2,000 miles going back and forth to the Bentley garage.”

The vehicle was purchased almost new from an independent dealer and included a three year warranty.

“I was locked in the car,” Brent continued.

“I was locked out of the car.

“I went away on holiday but had to come home because the windows dropped down as soon as you parked it.

“The heater broke and because the car was damp inside the windows steamed up.”

Brent spent £15,000 taking the case to court and agreed to sell the car back to a Bentley dealer.

“I haven’t been offered any compensation for a hell of a lot of stress and strain,” he said.

Bentley is now being sued by the finance company and others involved.
