Dashcam footage has caught the moment a Mercedes-Benz stopped on a dual carriageway in Cowley, Oxfordshire only for a passenger to get out and grab a bag from the boot.
The footage, filmed by a driving school car, showed a woman casually walking to the boot where she removed a white Next bag as cars passed at speed in the outside lane.
The woman then opened the back door and began to move items around while speaking to someone in the vehicle.
The video, posted to YouTube by BRM Driving School in Oxford, currently has more than 29,000 views.
In the caption, it said: “With a student about 20 minutes before her test, travelling on the Eastern Bypass at 50mph.
“The car in front decides to stop and grab a bag from the boot nearly causing a pile up.
“Both myself and the pupil were quite shaken by this but the pupil went and passed her driving test later that day.”
