A trader who sold 680 airbags worth over £30,000 on eBay between November 2015 and February 2016 has been spared jail.
Fake Honda, Audi and Volkswagen airbag which did not meet safety standards and may not have activated in a collision were sold by Czernik for £175 each.
He also sold airbag covers for £85, bought from suppliers in China and Poland.
Police seized more than 190 covers and a variety of other parts during a raid at his home in Poole, Dorset, in 2016.
Expert analysis proved the airbags to be fakes.
Czernik pleaded guilty to two offences of selling counterfeit goods at Inner London Crown Court.
He was given a five month jail term, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to carry out 135 hours of unpaid work.
