Bob Fowden and co-driver Paul Wakely took their sixth victory of a remarkable season at the Pembrey Motorsports Centre, West Wales, to take an unassailable lead in the JD Tyres Welsh National Tarmacadam Rally Championship with only one round remaining.
Fowden said: “It’s been a successful year with the new WRC Impreza and my new co-driver, Paul, who has been an asset to us all year, and I’m delighted to have been able to see him win his first Welsh Championship.”
