Individual light settings increase operator safety, health and productivity

Lighting and electronics specialist, HELLA is launching the RokLUME 280N SMART work lamp, which can adjust its light individually to different weather or driving conditions.

Experience shows that visibility in dusty, snowy or foggy conditions can be significantly improved by using green or amber light.

The RokLUME 280N SMART allows operators to change the colour of the light and control the brightness.

The colour temperature can also be continuously adjusted from warm white to cold white, which can increase visibility in many different situations.

For ease of conversion, the RokLUME 280N SMART has the same dimensions as the standard RokLUME 280N work lamp and also has a 2-pole Deutsch DT plug.

The new work lamp is available in six different light distribution variants: Diffuse Flood, Close Range, Long Range, Pencil Beam, Tunnel Flood (perfect for underground mining) or ZEROGLARE illumination and all are equipped with SMART functions for individual light adjustment.

The work lamp is also equipped with a lifetime function, a system that gives advance warning before the headlamp’s service life expires, thus preventing unplanned downtime.

Also integrated is an anti-theft protection and a memory function for saving individual illumination settings.

The HELLA Gateway control unit, which is included and is required for communication with the work lamps, uses power line communication (PLC) and means that signals to the work lamp can be sent through the existing wiring harness.
